Tess!

The Tess dress (on the right) is just so glamorous.

I am so excited to finally be able to point you towards Tess Designs. My dear friend Theresa has been working on her own fashion design company for months now, and the first collection will be available pretty soon. Her designs are inspired by vintage clothing and Old Hollywood icons, and they're just gorgeous.
"As a grown woman, I have a career, a husband, and my own company — and I have nothing in common with the image of an androgynous teenager. I love being a woman; I want to look like one and take my place in the adult world I inhabit and influence. If you look at vintage ads prior to 1965, the image was one of chic adulthood, à la M. Dior. I feel that this classic, feminine grace is missing from the life of the modern woman today, and I’d like to give it back." - Theresa Kopecky
She's a pretty inspiring lady herself.

I have been working as the fit model for Tess, and I contributed a guest post about the experience to the Tess blog. You can read it here. (I hasten to add that I am an absolutely useless model when it comes to pouting-and-posing, but fit modelling just requires having average measurements and standing still so that things can be pinned to you. That I can manage).

Love this gingham Tess dress. One of my favourites.

Just a quick note - this is one of my own vintage dresses, not a Tess dress, but it's a test shot taken for Tess.

I'll keep you posted as the release date approaches!
