A thrifty sort of day
I have never been to an estate sale - nor to an antique mall. Shameful, right? Our friends Sandhya and Gaurav remedied that today, taking me on an early-morning tour of garage and estate sales and ending with a trip to an antique mall and a thrift store. The perfect Saturday, really! Just add Eggs Benedict and a mimosa and it would be my ideal weekend morning. The estate sale was particularly exciting - there were several hats from the '50s and early '60s, some vintage clothing and a stack of hatboxes that I snapped up.
